Topic 9: display screen equipment
Understanding what is covered by a display screen equipment (DSE) risk assessment, how to reduce risk when working with DSE.
Topic 10: fire
What can cause fires, how to reduce the risk of harm from fire including preventing and controlling fire, an introduction to fire extinguishers.
Topic 11: electrical safety
How electricity can cause harm, how to reduce risk when working with electricity.
Topic 12: environmental heath and safety
What is covered when talking about the environment in a health and safety context, environmental legislation, what actions can be taken to reduce environmental impact.
Topic 13: driving safety
Understanding what road-related activity is covered by health and safety law, the road-safety checklist for reducing risks associated with driving at work.
Topic 14: stress awareness
Understanding stress and what causes it, how to reduce the risk of harm caused by stress, how to spot the signs of stress, mental health and how it relates to stress.
Topic 15: in the event of an incident
What to do in the event of an incident, the accident book, and accident investigation.

Overview of contents
This e-learning course is suitable for anyone who is required to know and understand their health & safety rights and responsibilities at work. It is designed to help you understand everything from the basics of health and safety rights as an employee to the specifics, including: risk assessments, hazards, slips, trips and falls, manual handling, working at height, manual handling, COSHH, fire safety, PPE, display screen equipment, electricity, driving, stress, the environment and what to do in the event of an incident.
This course can be completed as a standalone course or as part of the full Health & Safety for Managers Training course, which provides a level 3 certificate on completion.
